What great memories i have of many fun filled holidays when the kids were young .Alan would always try and help whenever he could if you needed it .will never forget you and ange the best friends you could have .Rest in peace Alan x

My wonderful father in law, you were the beating heart of our home. I keep expecting you to walk through the door and put your beers in the fridge. I miss seeing you sat in the kitchen tapping away to the radio and Frank is missing all his treats from Grandad. Alan was a lovely, kind and funny man , he always had time for people and never had a bad word to say about anyone. Brunel won't be the same without him. We will miss him.

Dear Alan I am still in shock that you are not here. I still expect to see you coming through the door to hand in your keys. You were such a gentleman and always had a smile on your face. I really miss your presence. Yes you had presence. I feel blessed to have known you.

Alan was a calm, composed, and gentle man. We shared a fire thrill together the Friday before his passing, and even though I had just met him, he seemed like a truly nice man. You will be missed.

Alan was a true gentleman. He always had time to listen, and someone I knew I could rely on for sound advice. He was always cheerful, thoughtful and dependable. His passing has come as a great shock, as such a great man will leave a great hole in everybody's life. A fellow QPR fan, we could consul ourselves after the inevitable bad results on a Monday morning. I know your memory will go on forever as you have touched so many with your kindness. Alan was a great person dad,grandad,friend and many more. Alan you will be truly missed and never forgotten you were always kind, caring and funny. Growing up with hayley and her brothers, I always loved going to see u all after school and knocking at the door at Christmas and hanging out. I always remember Alan coming home with bread and donuts. Me and hayley eating them. You were always smiling. You will be in our hearts and memories always. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Alan was a superb human being, especially during our early morning talks about football. He was well-respected throughout the team, always cheerful, and made time for everyone. His wisdom and caring nature will be greatly missed. Alan had a special talent for helping new staff members, taking them under his wing and showing them the ropes. His manners and the way he carried himself were exemplary. Al, you will be sorely missed. Rest in peace.

Nicest man you'll ever meet ill always cherish our time together in brunel, was like a second father to me after my dad died, his words and advise he gave me ill always remember. Still doesn't feel real. Rest easy Al, will remember you for the rest of my days mate ❤️

I didn’t know Alan myself but the light and happiness he brought into my friend Sues life over the last 9 years showed me what a very special man he was.
